The talk will follow a 6:15 PM Shabbat service, and will take place over a Shabbat meal at Temple Ner Shalom.
Philip 'Flip' and Judy Goldberg were watching the news about the war in Ukraine from the comfort of their Phoenix, Arizona home last spring, when they decided they had to do something to help. Sending a donation did not fulfill their desire to assist the refugees who were fleeing their homes to Poland.
So the Goldbergs packed their bags, connected with the Jewish Community Center in Krakow, Poland, and booked their flight to put their 'feet on the ground' and volunteer.
